Patricia "Pat" Privett Lewis

          Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Privett Lewis, age 90, entered into rest on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 6, 2023 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Ronnie Wayne Chavis with burial to follow in the Privett Family Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.

          Mrs. Lewis was born April 27, 1933 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late William Alfred and Mae Bell “Mae” Sellers Privett. She was a graduate of Zoar High School and the last surviving member of her graduating class. Pat was a devoted homemaker and also worked as a housekeeper for many years. She was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church. Mrs. Lewis enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

 Mrs. Lewis was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul June Lewis, Sr.; and siblings, Natha Lee Privett Boatwright, William Teal “W.T.” Privett, Davis Eugene Privett, and Luther Peeler Privett.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie (Joshua) Thompson of Wallace, SC; grandchildren, Jeffrey Chavis of Cheraw, SC, Tori Chavis of Wallace, SC, Keeley Sutton of Rockingham, NC, and Randa Sutton of Wallace, SC; great grandchildren, Keion, Jaylyn, Lil’ Jeffrey, Nathan, Wyatt, Raelynn, and Gabriel; and special friend, Donna Street.

The family would like to express their appreciation to hospice nurses Stacy Beaver, Liz Griggs, and the entire staff of McLeod Hospice for the excellent care provided to their loved one and family.
