Patricia "Patsy" Gainey White

Ms. Patricia “Patsy” Gainey White, age 74, entered into rest on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at her home. It was Ms. White’s requests that no formal services be held.

Ms. White was born August 29, 1949 in Cheraw, SC a daughter of the late Otis B. and Mittie Purvis Gainey. She was a former employee of Skyline Manufacturing and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Patsy enjoyed sewing and was faithful to read and study God’s word daily. She loved her family deeply and was a proud “Me-ma” to her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. White was also preceded in death by her son, Michael H. White; brothers, Walter “Bobby” Gainey, Reverend Larry R. Gainey, and Otis Gainey, Jr.; sister, Anita G. Hicks; and son-in-law, Johnny Woods.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa W. (Bryan) Suydam of Murphy, NC; grandchildren, Joshua Woods of Patrick, SC, Courtney Woods (Meneesha) Frazier of Fort Mill, SC, Alex White, and Hunter White both of Chesterfield, SC.
