Peggy Lou Pruitt Peak

The following obituary is being posted as a courtesy to the local family and friends of Ms. Peak. On behalf of MRC Funeral Home we extend our love and prayers to the family.

Marion, VA 

Peggy Lou Pruitt Peak, age 81 passed away Friday March 10, 2023 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA.

Peggy was born in Marion, VA to the late Edward and Enice Dolinger Pruitt and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Denny Peak, Sr.; brother, Ray Pruitt; sister, Carol Adams.  She retired from the South Western Virginia Mental Health Institute after 30 years of service and enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include her son, Jerry Dale Parmely of Abilene, TX;  Brother, Jerry Pruitt and wife Frances of Chesterfield, SC; stepson, Charles Peak and Carly; step daughter, Delaine Sharitz and husband Mike; grandchildren, Maggie Peak, Chasidy Danielle Deskins; great grandchildren, Ty Lee Antone; aunt Emegene Wyatt; uncle Alfred Dolinger; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.  

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Thursday March 16, 2023 at Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Don Mutter officiating.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1-2PM prior to services.
