Perry Lee Joplin

Mr. Perry Lee Joplin, age 80, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at his home. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, August 8, 2020 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Corey Joplin with burial to follow in the Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:00 – 1:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Joplin was born October 27, 1939 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late Lester and Thelma Mae Linton Joplin. He was a retired employee of Screen Printers with 23 years of service. Perry enjoyed traveling to the beach with his family, being around people, and “tinkering” on cars.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Joplin was also preceded in death by a son, Marty Wayne Joplin; brother, David Sherman Joplin; and an infant sister.

Survivors include his sons, Danny (Gloria) Joplin of Jefferson, SC, and Ronnie (Kelly Alexander) Joplin of Pageland, SC; daughter, Lisa (David Eddins) Steen of Ruby, SC; grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Haigler, Jeremy (Kayla) Tarlton, Rev. Corey (Ashla) Joplin, Carrie Joplin, Jesse Joplin, Katelyn Price, Chris Joplin, Tiffany Joplin, Matthew Steen, and Nikki Steen; 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren.
