Phillip Douglas "Dougie" Deese

Mr. Phillip Douglas “Dougie” Deese, age 61, entered into rest on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his home. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery by Michael Laney. The family will greet friends from 12:00 – 1:00 PM Tuesday prior to the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Deese was born April 26, 1959 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Cleveland and Glendora Langley Deese. He was a retired employee of C.M. Tucker Lumber Company. Dougie enjoyed fishing, camping, swimming, and riding his motorcycle. After retiring, he stayed busy growing a garden to give away and making windchimes and all types of crafts from woodwork. Of all things he enjoyed, spending time with his grandchildren was at the top of his list.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Deese was also preceded in death by his son, Cody Brandon Deese; sister, June Victoria Catoe; and brother, Richard Amos Catoe.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Doris Ann Deese of the home; daughter, Raven Deese; grandchildren, Wyatt, Sofie, and Brody Langley; brother, Charles Ray (Pamela Messer) Deese; sisters, Wanda Gail Deese, and Lorie Ann (Ricky) Deese all of Pageland, SC; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
