DECEASED: Ms. Rachel Gladys Brown Eubanks, age 88, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Chesterfield Convalescent Center, Cheraw, SC, after an extended illness with Alzheimer's disease.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the Jefferson Cemetery. Rev. Doug Taylor, pastor of Living Faith Baptist Church and Phillip Caulder, Jr. will officiate. Special Music will be provided by Brent and Brooke Taylor.

VISITATION: will follow at the graveside and then at the home of Derryl and Diane Eubanks, 216 White Plains Rd., Jefferson, SC.

HISTORY: She was born November 23, 1921 in Chesterfield County, a daughter of the late Eliza Whitley and Duncan Lucas Brown. In addition to her parents, Rachel, was preceded in death by a daughter, Vivian Eubanks Knight, and by her 7 siblings, Bertha Demby and Retha Morris of Chesterfield, SC; Nell Oliver of Cheraw, SC; Verdie Miles of Jefferson, SC; Dorothy McInnis of Southern Pines, NC; Pearl Plyler of Kannapolis, NC; and Maynard Brown of Mooresville, NC. She was a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and will be so missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sons: Don D. Eubanks, H. Brown Eubanks, and Derryl M. Eubanks and wife Diane of Jefferson, SC; and Shirrell L. Eubanks of Monroe, NC
Rachel was a loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren: David Hibbard of Pinehurst, NC; Renee Knight of Jefferson, SC; Brent Eubanks of Charlotte, NC; Mark Eubanks of Monroe, NC; Ashley Eubanks of Columbia, SC; Doug Eubanks, Jamie Eubanks, and Wayne Eubanks, all of Pageland, SC
ALSO 5 Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews
