Mr. Randall Tolson, age 76, entered into rest on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. The funeral services will be private with burial following in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Tolson was born March 5, 1943 in Patrick, SC a son of the late James Roachel and Vera Chapman Tolson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the S.C. National Guard. Mr. Tolson was a retired employee of Cuddy Farms and was a life-long carpenter. Randall was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. His hobbies included gardening, watching old westerns, following the Atlanta Braves, and anything to do with NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Tolson was also preceded in death by his brothers, William, Hildreth, Weldon “Snookie”, and Nolan Tolson; sisters, Elizabeth McLain, Clara Huggins, Sadie Jordan, and Margaret White; and his beloved dog, “Brady.”
Survivors include his devoted wife of 56 years, Mabel Tolson of the home; children, Ellen (Rev. Ricky) Morton of Cheraw, SC, and Randall T. (Merlynn) Tolson of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Chris (Nisa) Morton, Ricky “Hootie” Morton, Jr., Kenny Bell, Autumn (Dorsey) Grimm, Chucky Bell, and Bethany Tolson; great grandchildren, Addy, Emma, Kayden, Cameron, and Lincoln; brothers, Jeter (Lydia) Tolson of Patrick, SC, Raymond (Tina) Tolson of Greenwood, SC, Odell Tolson of Ft. Pierce, FL, and Lowell (Vera) Tolson of Pendleton, SC; sister, Daphene (Ray) Wrenn of Abbeville, SC; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, “LuLu.”
The family would like to thank the staff of Regency SouthernCare Hospice of Chesterfield for their excellent care and support shown to Mr. Tolson and his family.
