INTERMENT: will follow in the Almetta Baptist Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2008 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, Chesterfield, SC

HISTORY: Mr. Oliver was born June 8, 1941 in Pageland, SC a son of the late Reverend Arthur Ganson and Desnie Autrey Oliver. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School. Ray was a former employee of Springs Industries with 28 years of service and was a retired EMT - Intermediate with Chesterfield County Ambulance Service with 26 years of service. He was also a member for 26 years with the Jefferson Rescue Squad. Mr. Oliver was a former member and deacon of Almetta Baptist Church for many years, and was now a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Pageland, SC. Ray was preceded in death by his first wife, Gayle Ann Maree Oliver and by his brother, Rev. Kenneth Oliver.

3 Step Daughters: Michelle Allen of Hamlet, NC, Jessica Blackwell of Pageland, SC, and Angela Rollings of Jefferson, SC
3 Sisters: Rachel Winburn of McBee, SC, Ola Faye Johnson, and Janice Lowery both of Jefferson, SC
Also: 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild and was Pa Pa to many others.
