Mr. Ray Nelson Crowley, age 58, entered into rest on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Grady Baskins with burial to follow in the Grace & Mercy Church Cemetery (formerly Bethesda UMC Cemetery). The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, October 14, 2019 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mr. Crowley was born March 3, 1961 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Gary Aden Crowley and Florence Virginia Jordan Crowley Montgomery. He worked for many years in the roofing business and was known as “The Roofer.” Ray was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church for over 50 years and recently had joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Crowley enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

In addition to his parents, Ray was also preceded in death by his “mother of the heart”, Edith Carter Brown.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Pamela Rhynes Crowley of the home; children, Nelson Lane (Destiny) Crowley of Darlington, SC, Hawk Dustin Crowley, and Charity Crowley both of Hartsville, SC, Eric Lee (Kimberly) Brown of Lamar, SC, Hope Moniqua (Christin) Lide, and Dameon Patrick Brown-Crowley both of Cheraw, SC; 14 grandchildren; siblings, Pat Hancock of Mt. Croghan, SC, Mitchell Crowley of GA, Brady Crowley of VA, Ethel Quick of Wallace, SC, Lucille Owens of Ruby, SC, Caston Crowley, and Winnie Brown both of Patrick, SC, Sadie Paradice of Ruby, SC, Gary A. Crowley, Jr. of GA, Sara Brown of Mt. Croghan, SC, Rocky Crowley of Sumter, SC, Clyde Crowley of Cowpens, SC, and Jackie White, and Mary Presnell both of Patrick, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
