Rebecca Goddard Carr Cassidy

Rebecca Goddard Carr Cassidy, 72, of Concord, NC passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Avante at Concord.

Becky was born September 11, 1945 in Rainelle, WV to the late Eugene Roy Goddard and Ruby Jewel Goddard Rush. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Carr; and daughter, Tammy Poos.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Broadus Baptist Church, 59 Green St. SW, Concord, NC. The funeral service to celebrate her life will follow at 11:00 am in the church sanctuary, officiated by Rev. Rodney Quesenberry. The graveside service will be at 3:00 pm at Palmetto Baptist Church Cemetery, 9630 Hartsville-Ruby Rd., Patrick, SC.

In addition to her mother, Ruby Goddard Rush of Crawley, WV, she is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Leverne Cassidy of Concord, NC; daughter, Stephanie Pardon and husband Mark of Foley, AL; stepdaughter, Brandi Cassidy Outen of Jefferson, SC; stepson, Robert B. Cassidy of Sanford; brothers, Tim Goddard and wife Patricia of Beaufort, SC, Jim Goddard and wife Geraldine of Charleston, SC; sisters, Sue Dodd and husband Jim of Indian Trail, NC, Judie Skaggs and husband Rick of Mocksville, NC, Karen Distler and husband Tom of Palm Bay, FL; and five grandchildren.

Becky was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She had a passion for gardening and flowers.
