VISITATION: will be 7:00 - 9:00 PM, Monday, April 21, 2014 at Lakewood Baptist Church, Mt. Gallant Road, Rock Hill, SC

FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at St. John Free Will Baptist Church, Patrick, SC

INTERMENT: will follow in the Church Cemetery. Immediately following the committal service the family will receive family and friends in the St. John Free Will Baptist Church Fellowship Hall

HISTORY: Mr. Gainey was born August 2, 1934 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late James Jacob and Nora Aliene McLain Gainey. He was a commercial and residential builder and was owner of R. J. Gainey and Son Builders for 55 years. Redmond was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. He enjoyed building, landscaping yards, and old cars and trucks.

1 Daughter: Jennifer (Timothy) Buchanan of Rock Hill, SC
Grandchildren: Joshua Redmond Gainey, Corinna Elizabeth Gainey, Ben Buchanan, Rachel Buchanan, Whittney Michele Howard, and Nichlos Buchanan
1 Brother: Charlie Gainey of Kannapolis, NC

Interment will follow in the church cemetery
