Rev. Milton Virgil Bartlett, 78, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015. He was born March 11, 1937, in Mitchell County, NC to the late Troy Washington Bartlett and Dolly Carver Bartlett.

Rev. Bartlett is survived by his wife of nearly sixty years, Hildred Singleton Bartlett; children, Kenneth David Bartlett of Peachland; Janet Bartlett Pair and husband, John Calvin Pair of Pageland, SC; Shelia Bartlett Laney and husband, Jeffrey Dean Laney of Wingate; and Joy Bartlett Tucker of Monroe; sister, Annis Bartlett Warren of Spruce Pine; grandchildren, David Jeremy Bartlett, Travis Garry Laney, Cali Denise Sumner, Misty Dawn Wells, Kayla Christina Laney, Garrett Thomas Tucker, and Laci Brooke Tucker; and great-grandchildren, Ava, McKenna, Logan, Emily, Kennedi, Ali, Wesley, Lawson, Paxton Lendon, Harper Kate, Baby Wells, and David Wayne, Jr.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Bright Spot Baptist Church, 1407 Lockhart St, Monroe, NC 28110, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Bright Spot Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Almetta Baptist Church Cemetery in Jefferson, SC.
