Richard Sellers, Sr.

Mr. Richard A. Sellers, Sr., age 78, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at his home. The family will hold a visitation in honor of Richard’s life on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the home of Scott and Tammy Sellers from 4:00-8:00 PM.

Mr. Sellers was born in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Weldon and Olive Brock Sellers. He was a retired employee of Consolidated Freight and a member of Lower Macedonia Baptist Church. Richard enjoyed woodworking and working with his bees.

In addition to his parents, Richard was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley C. Sellers; step-mother Irene Sellers; infant sister, Nina Faye Sellers; sister, Peggy Hunt  and brother, Harmon Sellers.

Survivors include his children, Richard A. (Elaine) Sellers, Jr., Kenneth Wayne (Regina) Sellers, Scott (Tammy) Sellers, and Timothy (Michelle) Sellers all of Patrick, SC; grandchildren, Jonathan (Erica) Sellers of Cheraw, SC, Kristy (Josh) Zearfoss, and Steven (Ashley) Sellers both of Chesterfield, SC, Brandon (Deana) Sellers of Cheraw, SC, Zachary (Madison) Sellers, Josh Sellers, Amber (Joe) Mason, Shayna Sellers, and Landon Sellers all of Patrick, SC, Stephanie (Ande) Anderson of Cheraw, SC, and Megan Sellers of Patrick, SC; great-grandchildren, Dawson, Aleeyha, Emery, Madden, Channing, Denym, Korleigh, Easton, Ella, Alexis, and Blair; brothers, Kenny D. (Virginia) Sellers and Weldon (Carolyn) Sellers, Jr. both of Cheraw, SC; sisters, Glennie (Manley) Hancock of Ruby, SC, Marolyn (Harry) Haun, and Sandra (Grady) Tucker both of Cheraw, SC; brohter-in-law, Dewey Hunt of Lexington, SC; also numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to a charity of one’s choice.
