DECEASED: Mr. Robert Darree Davis age 71, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at his home.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM, Friday, February 29, 2008 at Sandy Plains United Methodist Church.

INTERMENT: will follow in the Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 28, 2008, at the Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

HISTORY: Mr. Davis was born August l, 1936, in Morven, NC, a son of the late Ruben Nathan and Effie Jane White Davis. He was a former department manager with 38 years of service at Chesterfield Webbing and was a retired employee of Delta Mills with 10 years of service. Mr. Davis was a member of the WOW Lodge 516 and a member of the Sandy Plains United Methodist Church. Robert was also preceded in death by 6 brothers, Lonnie, Roy, Tyler, C.E., Francis, and Charles Davis and by 3 sisters, Margaret D. Goodale, Madge D. Rogers, and Naomi D. Westberry.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 50 years, Mildred Lee Davis of the home.

1 Son: Richard D. "Ricky" Davis of Chesterfield, SC

2 Daughters: Teresa D. (Larry) Smith and Tammy D. (Robert) Adams both of Chesterfield, SC

6 Grandchildren: Rick Davis, Chase Davis, Brittany Adams, Joshua Adams, Emily Smith and Ethan Smith.

1 Sister: Mary D. Goodale of Chesterfield, SC

2 Special Sons: Jimmy Sikes of Chesterfield, SC and Jeffery Flowers of Maiden, NC
