DECEASED: Mr. Robert J. "Bob" Hancock, Sr. age 73, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at his home.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 P.M. Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Cross Roads Baptist Church Family Life Center

INTERMENT: to follow in the Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. Thursday, June 18, 2009 prior to the service in the Family Life Center.

HISTORY: Mr. Hancock was born December 7, 1935 in Mt. Croghan, SC, a son of the late Wade Hampton and Ella Cornelia Allen Hancock. He was a retired employee of Klopman Mills and a Farmer. Mr. Hancock was a faithful member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, member of the building and grounds committee, and was very instrumental in the planning and building of the Family Life Center. Bob was an avid fisherman and gardener. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death his 4 brothers, Willie Ray, Levoid "Pete", Wade Junior, and Charlie Frank Hancock.

1 Son: Robert J. (Dorothy) Hancock, Jr. of Mt. Croghan, SC
2 Daughters: Vanessa (David) Brewer and Barbara (Harry) Adams both of Pageland, SC
7 Grandchildren: Chasity Moore, Kelly and Bobby Crook, Abby and Stacy Brewer, and Rusty and Stephany Hancock.
2 Great Grandchildren: Wesley Deese and Natalie Duncan.
