Robert Lewis McManus

Mr. Robert Lewis McManus, age 67, entered into rest Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. A Celebration of Life service will be 5:00 Saturday, November 11, 2023 at First Freewill Baptist Church by Pastor Rodney Smothers and Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the church.

Mr. McManus was born September 24, 1956 in Monroe, NC a son of the late J. Vonder and Ruby Hartis McManus. He was a retired employee of Tucker Lumber Company with over 41 years of service and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. Lewis enjoyed drag racing, fishing, and working on lawn mowers and small engines.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McManus was also preceded in death by his siblings, Sammie Kay McManus, Barbara Ann Hargett, Charles McManus, and Johnny Ray McManus.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Peggy Ann McManus of the home; children, Samantha McManus of Pageland, SC, and Jason (Lori) McManus of Ruby, SC; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and siblings, Ronnie (Daisy Mae) McManus of Pageland, SC, and sisters, Shirley Steen (Edd Belk) of Jefferson, SC, and Betty Sue (Randy) Homer of Pageland, SC; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
