Mr. Ronald Edward “Ronnie” Hall, age 63, entered into rest on January 5, 2018. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Westfield Creek Baptist Church by Pastor Jason Pope, Rev. Kyle Oliver, and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the church cemetery with masonic rites. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, January 8, 2018 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1486 Hinson Hill Rd, Cheraw, SC.
Mr. Hall was born April 19, 1954 in Wadesboro, NC a son of the late Otis Wilson and Mary Frances Gulledge Hall. He was a retired employee of Chesterfield County with 25 years of service as a law enforcement/correctional officer and a former employee of Burlington Industries. Ronnie was a charter member of the BWZ Brotherhood, the Brock’s Mill Rural Fire Department, and a member of Cheraw Masonic Lodge # 15. He was also a member of Westfield Creek Baptist Church where he previously served as Sunday school superintendent, Sunday school teacher, building and grounds committee member, and adult choir member.
Mr. Hall was married to the love of his life, Carol, for over 38 years. A great conversationalist and story teller Ronnie loved people and never met a stranger. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his best friend, Ned. His greatest delight was was being Papa to Madeline, Samuel, and Chandler. He also loved being the “bus driver” for Redeemed & Rejoicing.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was also preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell, Larry, and Mike Hall; sister, Nancy Ellen Hall Owens; nephews, Dwayne Hall, Donald Mauldin, and David Braddock; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard Rudolph Lee and LouRoue S. Lee who loved him as a son.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Carol Lee Hall of the home; son, Rodney William (Teresa Moser) Hall of Monroe, NC; grandchildren, Madeline Elizabeth Hall, Samuel William Hall, and Chandler Lee Hall; 2 brothers, Randy Hall of Pageland, SC and Chris Hall of Bennettsville, SC; 4 sisters, Elaine Hall (Steve) Moree of Morven, NC, Eleanor “Ellie” Hall (Howell) Mauldin, Bonnie Hall Braddock both of Tignall, GA, Lucille “Lucy” Hall (Howard) Mauldin of Harvey, LA; brother-in-law, Richard R. “Ricky” Lee, Jr and wife, Pam; nephews and nieces, William (Lisa) Skipper, Richard R. “Trey” Lee, Courtney Elizabeth Lee, Jennifer (Richard) Gaddy, Jessica (Kyle) Oliver, Cody Hall, Kevin Hall, Kristen Hall, Brandon Jenkins, Tom Mauldin, Darlene Breaux, and Angela Hall Mauldin; best friend, Ned Hinson and wife, Jane of Cheraw, SC; special family friends, John and Lynn Sullivan, Marc, Ashley & Quinton Goldberg, and Kaleb Cassidy; and his fur babies, Summer, Sparky, and Trixie.
