Rosa B. "Peachie" Davis

Chesterfield, SC

 Mrs. Rosa B. “Peachie” Davis, age 88, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 22, 2023 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Donald Wallace, Sr. and Dr. Lindsay Powell with burial to follow in the Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ms. Davis was born February 17, 1935 in Bennettsville, SC a daughter of the late Luther D. Smith and Rosa Freeman Smith. She enjoyed sewing, playing on her computer, and listening to bluegrass music.

Rosa worked at the IGA Bakery in Cheraw, SC for several years and also worked at Weller until she retired at age 65.

In addition to her parents, Rosa was also preceded in death by her husband, Frazier Davis; son, William “Billy” Mumford; daughter, Brenda Kay Mumford; and sister, Ilamae Smith Hogan.

Survivors include her son, R.D. (Mary) Mumford of Chesterfield, SC; daughter, Joyce A. (J.B.) Wood of Chesterfield, SC; brother, L.D. (Annelle) Smith of Summerton, SC; 11 grandchildren, Daryl (Jessica) Mumford, Crysti (Joey) Vaught, Denise (Chap) Allison, Jana Sellers, Danielle Mumford, Scott (Jennifer) Mumford, Regina (John) Witherspoon, Rebecca (Dale) Davis, Jamie Wood, Kelly (Carlos) Aristiguieta, and Matt Younger; 21 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.
