HISTORY: Mrs. Joplin was born October 6, 1935 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late David Lee and Carrie Henrietta Jordan Mills. She was a former employee of Chesterfield Yarn Mill and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Roxie enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Roxie was also preceded in death by her husband, J. L. Joplin, grandson, Bobby Hudson, son-in-law, Harry Donahue, brothers, Curtis Lee, Johnny B. and Benny Ray Mills, and by sisters, Lessie Hammonds, Bessie Price, and Minnie Mae McCorkle.

3 Sons: Danny (Millie) Joplin of Mt. Croghan, SC; Thomas Ray (Gail) Joplin of Patrick, SC; and J. L. (Tera) Joplin, Jr. of Mt. Croghan, SC
1 Daughter: Shirley Joplin Donahue of Mt. Croghan, SC
