Ruby Evelyn Brock Martin

Mrs. Ruby Brock Martin, age 99, died December 26, 2022 at Mcleod Hospital in Cheraw, SC.  She was the daughter of the late James A and Cassie Teal Brock. She was the owner of Ruby’s Beauty Shop for over 30 years. Mrs. Martin was a graduate of Zoar High School in 1940 and cosmetology school in Charlotte, NC in 1941. She was a member Westside Baptist Church in Cheraw SC.  Her talents were many and included sewing, crocheting, gardening, and needle work.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was also preceded in death by her husband, John "Son" Martin.

She is survived by her son, John Martin; daughter, Gayle Martin; grandson, Graylon Martin; great granddaughter, Little Ruby Martin; and sister, Marcelle Rivers.

Services will be December 29, 2022 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, with a visitation from 1:00-2:00 O’clock prior to the service.
