VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, Chesterfield, SC

HISTORY Mrs. Perry was born November 9, 1917 in Darlington, SC, a daughter of the late William Wilson Kirven and Ruth McCullough Kirven. She graduated from Winthrop College in 1938 with a degree in education and taught second grade in Timmonsville, SC. Mrs. Perry was a member of Chesterfield Baptist Church, the Chesterfield Garden Club, the Order of the Eastern Star, and served as Chairman of the SC March of Dimes. She has been a loving wife for 69 years to William Louis Perry M.D. In addition to her parents, "Miss" Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved son, Joel Wilson Perry, a brother, Ernest McCullough Kirven, and by her sister, Billie Kirven Duvall.

6 Grandchildren: English Perry Griggs, William Marion Perry, Arden McCullough Fields, Perry Louis Fields, Casey McKoy Higson, and Michelle Lane Higson
3 Great Grandchildren: Camden Mitchell Griggs, Collin McCullough Griggs, and William Landon Perry
1 Brother: W. W. Kirven, Jr. of Darlington, SC
