Ruth Wannamaker

DATELINE: White Rock, SC

DECEASED: Mrs. Ruth Sellers Wannamaker, age 91, left us to join family, friends, and our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 22, 2008. Born January 14, 1917 in Chesterfield County, SC to Thomas Sinclair and Cora Oliver Sellers, she was one of 14 children who lived past infancy. Ruth was a beautiful lady, who was a talented seamstress, enjoyed gardening, was an excellent cook, and loved to help others. She spent most of her life in Hartsville, SC and was a longtime member of West Hartsville Baptist Church. Most recently she was a resident of the Lowman Home in White Rock, SC.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM, Monday, March 24, 2008 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Chesterfield, SC with interment immediately following in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 PM prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

VISITATION: will be held from 5:00 - 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 23, 2008 at the New Life Chapel at the Lowman Home, White Rock, SC

"Ruthie" is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Eldon Shields Wannamaker of the Lowman Home in White Rock, SC; Son, William "Bill" (Irmgard) Wannamaker of Naples, FL; daughters, Sue Haack of Simpsonville, SC and Ann (Willis) Keefe of Irmo, SC; granddaughters, Annette Wannamaker (Steve) Krause of Ypsilanti, MI, Melissa Haack (Mike) Smith of Fountain Inn and Erin Haack (Ray) Fowler of Simpsonville, SC; step grandson, Justin Keefe of Chapin, SC; and one great grandson, Will Krause of Ypsilanti, MI.
Ruth is also survived by her brother, Alfred Sellers of Chesterfield, SC; and sisters, Grace Brown of Charleston, SC, Louise Lewis of Chesterfield, SC, Iris
