Ruth Williams

Patrick, SC Mrs. Ruth Smith Williams, age 86, entered into rest on Friday, August 19, 2016. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Monday, August 22, 2016 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel by Phillip Caulder, Jr. with burial to follow in the Patrick Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Williams was born April 6, 1930 in Rockingham, NC a daughter of the late June Smith and Martha B. Smith both of Rockingham, NC. She was a homemaker and a member of Patrick Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams loved her family and enjoyed watching Westerns and eating Pecan Swirls.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Williams; 1 daughter, Patricia E. Smith; and 1 grandson, Christopher Lynn Peele.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Jo Ann (Wayne) Spivey of Patrick, SC, Brenda S. Boswell of Wadesboro, NC, Jan S. (Steve) Thomas of Patrick, SC, Donna (Tim) Robertson of Hartsville, SC; 1 son, Dean (Jeanette)Williams of Hartsville, SC; 1 sister, Dorothy (Sam) Weatherford of Patrick, SC; 2 brothers, Rev. Dennis (Barbara) Smith of Hamlet, NC, Harrison (Joann) Smith of Rockingham, NC; grandchildren, Tammy (Steve) Hodges of West Palm Beach, FL, Shelia (Sean) Thomas of Cheraw, SC, Denise (Pete) Charlez of West Palm Beach, FL, Tim Peele of Bennettsville, SC, Beverly (Phillip) Smith of Greenville, SC, and Amanda (David) Lee of Florence, SC; 10 great grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren, Tiffany and Robert Lee; 3 step great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
