Ruth Faulkenberry Horne

Mrs. Ruth Faulkenberry Horne, age 78, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at her home. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Douglas Mill Baptist Church by Rev. Gerald Rivers and Jason Terry with burial to follow in the Elizabeth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, May 10, 2019 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Horne was born December 30, 1940 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Jessie Willard and Rena Lee Linton Faulkenberry. She was a former employee of Cannon Mills, a former truck driver, and retired from Home Health. Mrs. Horne was a member of Douglas Mill Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and fishing. Her life’s passion was spending time with her family. Ruth enjoyed planning family gatherings and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Horne was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles A. Horne; brother, Charles Faulkenberry; sons, Charles Ray Horne and Gerald Lee Horne; and daughter, Teresa Horne.

Survivors include her son, Michael Watts of Ruby, SC; grandchildren, Logan (Amber) Watts of Hartsville, SC and Laci Watts of Ruby, SC; 3 great grandchildren, Payton, Emery, and Levi; brother, Junior (Angie) Faulkenberry of Ruby, SC; sisters, Margaret (Tommy) Blackwell of Cheraw, SC, Grace Sellers of Chesterfield, SC, Catherine (Bill) Thompson of Cheraw, SC, Louise (David) Brigman of Chesterfield, SC, and Carolyn (Dwight) Russell of Cheraw, SC; also numerous nieces and nephews.
