Sanders Rudolph "Rudy" Windham, Jr.

Mr. Sanders Rudolph “Rudy” Windham, Jr., age 76, entered into rest on Friday, October 4, 2024 at his home. A Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Palmetto Baptist Church by Pastor Drake Horton with military honors rendered by the U.S. Navy. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.

Mr. Windham was born January 23, 1948 in Florence, SC a son of the late Sanders Rudolph Windham, Sr. and Gertrude Smith Windham Hepburn. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era and a member of Palmetto Baptist Church. Rudy was a retired security guard with Robinson Nuclear Plant and following his retirement he enjoyed working at Home Depot in Florence. A true car enthusiast, Rudy enjoyed assembling model railroads, model ships, and model cars. He will be fondly remembered for his outgoing personality and his ability to talk with anyone.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Windham was also preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Diane Oliver.

Survivors include his son, John (Cathy) Windham of Jackson, TN; grandchildren, Noah, Claire, and Lucas; special friend, Priscilla Rowan of Myrtle Beach, SC; in addition to numerous cousins including Jewel Franklin, Jerry Windham, and Kathie McKay; his beloved church family at Palmetto Baptist, and cherished neighbors, the Gooden family and Starnes family.

 The family wishes to express their gratitude for the  care and support received from Suncrest Home Health in Cheraw.
