Mrs. Sara Williams Brock, age 77, entered into rest on Friday, February 16, 2018. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Cross Roads Baptist Church by Dr. Rick Henderson and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service in the sanctuary of the church.

Mrs. Brock was born July 29, 1940 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Willis and Sweetie Lee Boan Williams. She was a former employee of Springs Industries and a faithful member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. Sara served the Lord by faithfully serving others. She was very active in the shut-in ministry, spending several days a week in their homes sharing God’s love. She also enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers and yard, and working cross word puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Sara was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Blane Brock; brother, Jack Williams; and 1 granddaughter, Melissa Sanders.

Survivors include her children, Janet (Allen) Penland of Campobello, SC, Sheila (Leon) Newman of Spartanburg, SC, Harold (Mari) Brock of TX, and David (Ann) Brock of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Patsy Dyches of Chesterfield, SC, and Peggy Krieder of Holden Beach, NC; brother, Junior (Mary Alice) Williams of Ruby, SC; grandchildren, Stephanie (James) Gosnell of Inman, SC, Angie (George) Estes of Cross Anchor, SC, David Penland of Campobello, SC, Christie (Perry) Greene of Inman, SC, Tyler Newman of Spartanburg, SC, Brittany (Pete) Madena of Burlington, NC, Amber Brock of Burlington, NC, Holly Brock of TX, Heather (Drew) Braizer of Korea, Michael Brock of TX, Tim (Shannon) Newman of Spartanburg, SC, and Teresa Newman of Westminister, SC, 14 great grandchildren and 9 great – great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice House of Carolina Foothills, 260 Fairwinds Drive, Landrum, SC 29356.
