HISTORY: Mr. Ricketts was born March 17, 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA a son of the late John James and Rosellen Weslager Ricketts. He was an auto mechanic in the Pittsburgh area, and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Ricketts was an U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as a Tank Commander. He was a very decorated soldier, having received the National Defense Service Medal; the Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star; the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; the Purple Heart; Good Conduct Medal; and numerous Sharpshooter and Marksman commendations. Mr. Ricketts was very actively involved with The Order of The Silver Rose.
