Shelby Jean Hodge

Chesterfield, SC

Mrs. Shelby Jean Hodge, age 71, entered into rest on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at her home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home officiated by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hodge was born March 9, 1951 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Walter and Bessie Tucker Sellers. She was a retired employee of Patrick Sportswear and a member of Pine View Baptist Church. Shelby enjoyed working outdoors in her flowers and keeping her yard immaculate. She also enjoyed listening to music and preaching cd’s.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hodge was also preceded in death by her husband, Joell Michael Hodge; brothers, Burnis Sellers, Randy Sellers, Billy Tucker; and sister, Louise Melton.

Survivors include her sons, Davey (Jennifer) Hodge of Hartsville, SC, and Walter (Angela) Hodge of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Hunter Hodge, Devin, Dawson, and Courtney Haywood, Dustin Munn, and Hayes Hopkins; brothers, D.J. (Debbie) Sellers, Curtis (Violet) Sellers, and Danny Sellers all of Chesterfield, SC; sister, Peggy (Bobby Turner) Hoffman of Chesterfield, SC; numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, “Sassy.”

Memorials may be made to a Humane Society of one’s choice.
