DECEASED: Mrs. Sherry Steen Crowder, age 41, of Jefferson, SC, formerly of Charlotte, NC went to be with her Heavenly Father, Monday, August 25, 2008 at her home.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 5:00 PM, Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Victory United Methodist Church, 316 S. Fork Rd., Indian Trail, NC with the Rev. Greg Collins officiating.


HISTORY: Mrs. Crowder was born May 28, 1967 in Charlotte, NC a daughter of Ella Mae Oxendine Steen Taylor and the late Marvin "Sonny" Steen. Mrs. Crowder attended Garinger High School. She was a homemaker and most recently was a substitute teacher and cafeteria helper for the Chesterfield County School District. When Sherry was not working, she was a volunteering parent at Jefferson Elementary, where her children attend, and with the Girl Scouts and the PTO. She was preceded in death by her Step Father Paul Taylor.

Children: Derek Wayne Crowder and Kayla Marie Crowder both of the home
Mother: Ella Mae Oxendine Steen Taylor of Mint Hill, NC
Step Daughter: Misty Lynn Crowder
2 Step Grandchildren: Jordan Crowder and Whitney Walls
Sister: Patricia (Tony) Hinson of Mint Hill, NC
Special Sister in Law & Friend: Penny Crowder
Nephew & Niece: Blake Hinson and Addison Hinson
And a host of extended family and friends
