HISTORY: Mrs. Bittle was born March 17, 1920 in Morven, NC, a daughter of the late Joseph Jackson and Mary Hancock Meachum. She was an honor graduate of Morven High School and attended Louisburg College. Mrs. Bittle retired from Farm Credit Services in 1985, with 38 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class, and the Madge Curtis Circle. Mrs. Bittle was a member of the Talk and Tally Bridge club for over 62 years, and a former member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary. Susan was married to the late John Wesley "J.W." Bittle, Sr. and was also preceded in death by 12 siblings.

3 Sons: John Wesley Bittle, Jr. (Mary Kendall) of Conway, SC, Joseph M. Bittle of Florence, SC, and Robert Eugene Bittle (Janet) of Chesterfield, SC
1 Granddaughter: Ashley Kay Bittle of Chesterfield, SC
1 Sister: Ruth M. Taylor of Anderson, SC
