Mrs. Sybil Crawley, age 68, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, July 28, 2024 in her home. A Celebration of Life service will be 4:00 PM, Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Cross Roads Baptist Church by Pastor Max White. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
Sybil was born May 4, 1956 to the late Thomas Jefferson Stilwell and Jesse Pauline Belk Stillwell in Meckleburg County, NC. Sybil grew up in Unionville, NC and was a 1974 graduate of Piedmont High School.
Sybil was a loving wife, mom, sister, and Mema – which was her most treasured title! Sybil was small but fierce and she loved hard with all her heart. Sybil cherished time with family, especially the birthday breakfasts with her sisters and holiday gatherings.
Sybil’s hobbies were baking, gardening, canning, crafting, reading, caring for her chickens and beloved dog / 4-legged child, Goldie!
Sybil will be remembered for her baked goodies, especially her cheesecakes, by all her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, Sybil was also preceded in death by a sister, Lynn Helms; brother, Thomas Michael Stilwell; brother-in-law, Eddie Nash; and father-in-law, Tommy Crawley.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Martin Crawley; daughter, Kristen (Drew) Sellers; granddaughter, Nataleigh Sellers; granddaughter of the heart, Charlee Mae Sellers; mother-in-law, Shelby Crawley; sisters, Sandra (Vic) Price, Judy (Steve) Rushing, Janice Parker, Angie Nash; brothers-in-law, Junior Helms, and Scott (Kathy) Crawley; nieces & nephews, Dana Martin, Eric (Jinks) Helms, Tim (Paula) Price, Sonya (Barry) Miller, Kim (Monty) Redmon, Brooke Gibbs, Josh (Tabatha) Nash, Brandy (Carey) Maher, Robin Stilwell, Chris Stilwell, Greg Stilwell, Chris Almeda, Shan Smith, and Jeremy (Amber) Crawley; in addition to numerous great nieces and great nephews.
