Sybil Johnson Roscoe

Chesterfield, SC

Mrs. Sybil Johnson Roscoe, age 90, entered into rest on May 5, 2022. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Bay Springs Baptist Church by Pastor Tracy Gooding with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Roscoe was born September 1, 1931 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Alex and Hattie Douglas Johnson. She was a retired employee of Weller Industries and a former employee of Ruby Hosiery Mill. Sybil was a faithful member of Bay Springs Baptist Church, where she served on the cemetery committee for many years. Mrs. Roscoe enjoyed reading, cooking, and working in her flowers.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roscoe was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Roscoe; siblings, Bill Johnson, A.L. Johnson, Ansel Johnson, Nicey Shaw, Clyde Johnson, Fletcher Johnson, Gaddy Johnson, and Grace Johnson.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews including, Mike (Sue) Johnson and their family, and Sherry (Wesley) Teal and their family all of Chesterfield, SC.
