Sylvia Jewett Rigdon

Mrs. Sylvia Jewett Rigdon, age 68, entered into rest on Thursday, April 16, 2020. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 20, 2020 at Chesterfield Cemetery by Pastor Glenn Scott White. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home under the guidelines set forth due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

Mrs. Rigdon was born October 27, 1951 in Concord, NC a daughter of the late Carl Sylvester Jewett and Rosie Mae Gooden Jewett. She was a retired employee of Hornwood Inc. of Lilesville, NC with 38 years of service. Sylvia enjoyed working in her yards, especially her flowers. No matter what she was doing, her 2 beloved dogs, “Daisey” and “Sissy” were always with her.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Russell Rigdon, Jr. of the home; son, Gene Rigdon of Chesterfield, SC; daughter, Elaine (Curly) Rollins of Cheraw, SC; daughter of the heart, Angie (Jamie) Arant of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Destiny, Summer, Larry “Rusty,” Bryan, Jamie, Haley, Audrey, and Kevin; soon to be arriving her first great grandbaby, Sylvia Jeanette Rigdon.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of McLeod Hospice House for the excellent love and care shown to Mrs. Sylvia and the family during this time.
