Terry Warren McLain

Cheraw, SC

 Mr. Terry Warren McLain, age 70, entered into rest on Thursday, December 5, 2024 with his family by his side. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens by Reverend Randy Bishop. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of his sister, Connie & Rev. Randy Bishop.

Born on June 4, 1954, in Wadesboro, NC, Mr. McLain was the son of the late Fulton H. and Ellen Sessions McLain. He dedicated many years of his life working alongside his father at McLain Logging and later retired from Grady F. Griggs & Son Construction. Terry enjoyed fishing and working with his tractor, but his true joy came from being in nature, observing wildlife, and appreciating God's creation.

Mr. McLain is survived by his children, Terry Warren "T.W." McLain, Jr., Timothy McLain, Matthew "Matt" McLain, and Dylan McLain; his spouse, Lynn McLain; step-daughter, Chastity Kelly, grandchildren, Drake, Ryan, Marley, River, Trey, Lilly, and Hunter; sisters, Connie McLain (Rev. Randy) Bishop and Donna McLain (Victor) Barefoot; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In honor of Mr. McLain's dedication to children's well-being, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Connie Maxwell Children’s Home (Adams Campus), P.O. Box 251, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
