Theodore "Ted" James Curry

Mr. Theodore "Ted" James Curry, age 47, entered into rest on Friday, April 5, 2019 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Curry was born December 8, 1971 in Olongapo, Philippines, a son of Gloria Baron Curry and the late Eugene Thomas Curry. A graduate of Cheraw High School, Ted attained his Bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University. He began his teaching career at Cheraw High School and later taught Adult Education in Darlington County. His hobbies included fishing, playing video games, and always shopping for a deal at local yard sales and flea markets. Ted enjoyed spending time each weekend at the Mt. Croghan Flea Market where he met many new friends.

Survivors include his mother, Gloria Baron Curry of the home; brothers, Eugene Raymond (Dawn) Curry of Greenville, SC, Henry T. Curry, and Michael A. (Teresa) Curry both of Hartsville, SC; sister, Teresita Curry (Chris) Crosby of Florence, SC; nieces and nephews, Kayla, Hannah, Hunter, and Tyler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Colony, P.O. Box 38, Ruby, SC 29741.
