Thomas Wayne Mims

Mr. Thomas Wayne Mims, age 71, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Graveside services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Thompson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Dr. Ronnie Grizzle. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service in the sanctuary of Thompson Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Mims was born October 4, 1949 a son of the late Thomas Hallie Mims. Wayne was known for being a jack of all trades who did all kinds of jobs from maintenance to roofing. He enjoyed working and playing on the golf course. He took pride in washing, waxing, and caring for his Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. Above all else, Wayne loved spending time with his daughter and granddaughter, who were his heart.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mims was also preceded in death by his wife of the heart, Sadie Irene Cook; and two sisters.

Survivors include his daughter, Melissa (Timothy Clark) Cook of Patrick, SC; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Irene Pope
