Thressa Carolyn Davidson Parker

          Mrs. Thressa Carolyn Davidson-Parker, age 85, went home to be with her lord on Saturday morning, March 4, 2023 at her home. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Donald Wallace, Sr. with burial to follow in the Hurst Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.

          Mrs. Davidson-Parker was born December 26, 1937 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Benjamin Carson and Pauline White Cassidy. She was a seamstress who owned Special Things by Carolyn. She was a long time member of Lakeshore Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL where she sang in the choir and was known for her Wednesday night dinners. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, travel, gospel music, and spending time with her grandchildren.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davidson-Parker was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Charles Fay Davidson; brothers, B.C. Cassidy, Roger Cassidy, Randall Cassidy; sister, Delores Moore; and daughter-in-law, Gayle Davidson.

          Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Thomas Parker of the home; children, Tom Davidson of Jacksonville, FL, Terry Davidson of Jacksonville, FL, Scott (Karin) Davidson of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie Davidson of Jacksonville, FL, Heather (Kyle) French of Jacksonville, FL; great-grandchildren, Ella French, Luke French; sister, Joann (Woody) Evans of Columbia, SC; brother, Larry Cassidy of Maggie Valley, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews.
