Tonya Lynn Myrick Craig

Chesterfield, SC 

     Mrs. Tonya Lynn Myrick Craig, age 50, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 7, 2024. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Palmetto Baptist Church by Pastor Drake Horton with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Thursday, prior to the service at the church.

     Mrs. Craig was born July 9, 1973 in Troy, NC a daughter of Roy and the late Gladys Cagle Myrick. She was a member of Palmetto Baptist Church. Tonya enjoyed doing yard work and planting flowers. Mrs. Craig was an animal lover who spent much of her time caring for animals in need. Though she was a lover of all animals, she had a special place in her heart for her pets “Tanner”, and “LuLu.” Tonya will be remembered most of all for how she cared for her family.

     In addition to her mother, Mrs. Craig was also preceded in death by her grandmothers, Ava Cain, and Birdie Mae Cagle.

     Survivors include her husband, Scott Shaw of the home; father, Roy Myrick, Jr. of Biscoe, NC; daughter, Elizabeth “Cassie” (Jordan) Torline of Rockmart, GA; grandchildren, Avery, Ava Grace, Charlie Mae, Sawyer Cole, Samuel Robert; siblings, Timmy (Paula) Myrick of Vass, NC, Tammy (Danny Wallace) Myrick of Chesterfield, SC, Brandon Myrick of Biscoe, NC, Ryan Myrick of Troy, NC, Crystal (Cordell) Bowden of Troy, NC, Nathan Myrick of Wilmington, NC; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
