Travis Michael "Barney" Wharton

Chesterfield, SC

Mr. Travis Michael “Barney” Wharton, age 47, entered into rest on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at his home. A Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Pine Grove Baptist Church by Pastor Mark Phillips. The family is receiving friends at the home of his mother, Lesa Crenshaw.

Mr. Wharton was born August 3, 1977 in Lancaster, PA a son of Lesa Marie Lally Crenshaw and the late Earl Raymond Wharton, II. He was a graduate of Oviedo High School of Oviedo, FL. Mr. Wharton worked as a plumbing assistant and surveyor for many years. An avid outdoorsman, Barney enjoyed hunting, fishing, sitting around a bon-fire, and spending time with friends. He was also a die-hard Florida Gators fan.

In addition to his father, Mr. Wharton was also preceded in death by his step-father, Tony Crenshaw.

Survivors include his loving mother, Lesa Wharton Crenshaw of Chesterfield, SC; daughters, Gabbryelle “Gabby” Nichole Wharton of Pageland, SC, and Morgan Leah Wharton of Chesterfield, SC; brother, Earl Raymond (Sherri) Wharton, III of Aiken, GA; companion and caregiver, Kelli Fox of Chesterfield, SC and daughters, Maddie and Marissa; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to D.A.V. 860 Dolwick Drive, Erlanger, KY 41018.
