DECEASED: Mr. Vasco "Buck" Geiger, age 92, died Monday, May 26, 2014 at his home.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM Friday, May 30, 2014 at Macedonia Baptist Church

INTERMENT: will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors

VISITATION: immediately following the committal service in the Church Fellowship Hall

HISTORY: Mr. Geiger was born October 23, 1921 in Kershaw County, SC a son of the late Joseph Will and Mattie Hayes Geiger. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and a life-long farmer. Mr. Geiger had a passion for farming with animals, and taught his family the love of nature, and the importance of where you came from, and that you don't have to have money to be someone. In addition to his parents, Buck was also preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Melton Geiger; 2 sons, Don Thomas "Boy" Geiger, and Kermit Melton; 1 sister, Bertha Bryson; 5 brothers, Jake, J.D., Richard, Johnny "Bill", and Press Geiger; and his son-in-law, Olin D. Johnson.

1 Daughter: Linda G. Johnson of Pageland, SC
7 Grandchildren: Wendell (Barbie) Johnson, Danny "P-nut" (Angie) Johnson, Kay (Lynn) Griffin, Sue (Pat) Owens, Patty (Joey) Hendrix all of Pageland, SC, Stewart (Dawn) Johnson of Jefferson, SC, and Kerrie Short of Surprise, AZ
16 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great Great Grandchildren
2 Sisters: Nanny Hammond of Lancaster, SC and Thelma Melton of Kershaw, SC
Daughter-in-law: Trilby Brown of Scottsville, KY
Son of the heart: Gary Melton of Kershaw, SC
Also: Numerous Nieces and Nephews
