DECEASED: Mrs. Vera King Hurst, age 88, died Thursday, November 24, 2011.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel.

INTERMENT: to follow in the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. Saturday, prior to the service at the Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mrs. Hurst was born May 11, 1923 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Lucy Ellen Burch King. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and attended Winthrop College. Vera was a former ward clerk with Chesterfield General Hospital and medical clerk with Chesterfield Convalescent Center. She was a lifelong member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and the Ladies Bible Class. In addition to her parents, Vera was also preceded in death by her husband, Hollis G. Hurst, and her son, Hollis G. Hurst, Jr.

1 Daughter-in-law: Joyce Hurst of Chesterfield, SC
4 Grandchildren: Robin Elizabeth Lee of Columbia, SC, Lisa (Scott) Herrington of Georgetown, SC, Angela (Gregg) Demby, and Chasity (Michael) Lisenby all of Chesterfield, SC
4 Great Grandchildren: Taylor, Holli, Kinglsey, and Michaela
