Verenda Rae Smith

Ms. Verenda Rae Smith, age 70, entered into rest on Monday, February 7, 2023. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2023 at Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. James M. “Micky” Smith. The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.

Ms. Smith was born May 7, 1952 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late James Cason and Selma Rae Burr Smith. Ms. Verenda was a simple lady that loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Smith was also preceded in death by her nephew; Robert Caston Smith; infant sister, Monica Ann Smith; and an infant brother.

Survivors include her brother; Rev. James M. “Micky” (Cindy) Smith of Mt. Croghan; sister, Sharon King of Cheraw; grandchildren, Kenneth Walters, Chase Walters, and Rhyver Walters; nephews, Joey Walters of Cheraw and Mike (Robin) Smith of Peachland, NC.
