FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Hopewell Baptist Church
INTERMENT: will follow in the Church Cemetery
VISITATION: 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 21, 2013 prior to the service at the Church.
HISTORY: Mrs. Oliver was born July 31, 1933, in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late Claude Melton and Tonci Lee Chavis Wilkerson. Virginia was a caregiver for the sick and elderly for some 30 years and loved all of her patients. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she served as former Sunday school teacher in the nursery. Virginia enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, shopping, going out to eat, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, Virginia was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence C. Oliver; brothers, Vernon and E. B. Melton; and two sisters, Dorothy Belle Melton and Bobbie Jean Melton.

3 Sisters: Emma Lee Humphries of Sumter, SC, Evelyn Melton of Marshville, NC, and Mary Jean Little of Oakboro, NC
Stepchildren: Charles (Birty) Oliver, Edward Oliver, and Larry (Jeannie) Oliver all of Chesterfield, SC
Also a number of Grandchildren, great Grandchildren, great, great Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews
