Vivian Ruth Golwitzer

On Friday, May 14, 2021, Vivian Ruth (Jones) Golwitzer, loving mother of two children, passed away at the age of 66. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Church of Christ of Genesee County, 5284 Fenton Rd. Flint, MI.  Visitation will be held 5:30PM - 7:30PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI at a later date.

Vivian was born on September 16, 1954 to Sam L. Jones and Anna Marcille Therrell Jones. On November 30, 1976, she married Michael Anton Golwitzer in Flushing, MI. She was preceded in death by her father Sam Jones, her mother Marcille Jones, baby Jones, her step mother Lois Jones and her husband Michael Golwitzer of 44 years. She is survived by her son Michael Golwitzer II, his three children Michael III, Caleb, and Katelynn, her daughter Anna (Mentus Okoro) Golwitzer and her three children, Vivienne-Martina, Clara-Annalise, and Henry Christopher, her brother Sam Jones Jr. and her sister Corinthea Jones, sister in law Wanda (Norm) Baldwin of Davison; nieces and nephews, Jeffery Vanier, Karen Driskill, Theresa Hammell, Melissa Dover, Mandy McIntosh, Carrie Rhyne and Kelley Jones. Vivian was a generous godly woman who was continually helping others.  Through charity and service she lifted the hearts of many. She was an active member of the Church of Christ of Genesee County, for whom her late husband preached for many years. She often shared her love by giving creatively, whether by crafting, sewing, quilting, cooking, or teaching children's Bible class, she enjoyed sharing her many talents helping others.
