FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Westfield Creek Baptist Church, Cheraw, SC

INTERMENT WITH MILITARY HONORS: will follow in the Church Cemetery

VISITATION: is 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Saturday prior to the service at the church

HISTORY: Mr. Hill was born September 11, 1949 in Parkton, NC a son of Doris Willougby Hill and the late C.W. Hill. He was an U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, receiving 2 Purple Hearts, the Bronze Star, a Combat Infantry Medal, the National Defense Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Hill was a member of the VFW, the Purple Heart Association, the American Rifle Association, and the N.C. Sheriff's Association. He was a proud supporter of the St. Labre Indian School and the St. Joseph's Indian School. Jesse was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan. Mr. Hill also enjoyed watching westerns, and fishing. He never met a stranger, and was always ready to strike up a conversation. In addition to his father, Jesse was also preceded in death by his beloved canine family member, "Venus."

Mother: Doris Hill of Red Springs, NC
14 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren
Brother: Raymond C. (Wanda) Hill of Raleigh, NC
Sisters: Judy (Charlie) Allison of Rockfish, NC, and Marylee Wolfe of Tampa, FL
Also his beloved canine family: Abby, Rose, Rebel, Precious, Star
