FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2008 at St. Paul United Methodist Church

INTERMENT: will follow in the Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 5:00 - 6:30pm Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Miller Rivers Caulder Funeral Home.

HISTORY: Mr. Burr was born February 22, 1925 in Rockingham, NC a son of the late Walter Ruford Burr and Pauline Burr. He was a graduate of Chesterfield High School. Mr. Burr retired as owner and operator of Chesterfield Repair Shop and was also a former substitute mail carrier. Walter was an artist and enjoyed painting many of the county churches and presenting them as gifts to the churches. He was an avid historian and was a former member of the Chesterfield County Historical Society. Walter was a former member of the Chesterfield Town Council, Chesterfield Fire Department, and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.

2 Sons: Keith (Marilyn) Burr and Kurt Burr of Chesterfield, SC
2 Daughters: Kathy (Tom) Sheeler and Kay (Rod) Clark of Chesterfield, SC
2 Grandsons: Lee (Mandi) Sheeler and Roddy Clark of Chesterfield, SC
1 Great Granddaughter: Brantley Grace Sheeler
1 Sister: Sarah (Bob) Doner of Pensacola, FL
