HISTORY: Mr. Hancock was born August 7, 1938, in Chesterfield, SC, a son of the late Walter Jerome and Lula Jordan Hancock. He was a mechanic and a retired employee of Highland Industries, with 37 years of service. Walter enjoyed talking with his friends, fishing, and working on motors. In addition to his parents, Walter was also preceded in death by his wife, Elloner Blockover Hancock, and by his sister, Lucille Hancock Melton.
