Mr. Walter “Keith” Burr, age 73, entered into rest on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Morven Cemetery by Pastor Alisha Hansen. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please continue social distancing and if desired to bring and wear a mask.
Mr. Burr was born September 30, 1948 in Florence, SC a son of Betty Gulledge Burr and the late Walter R. Burr, Jr. He was a retired employee of CMC Building Supply and a former employee of Bilby Construction and A.O. Smith. Keith was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. A man who loved his family deeply, Keith enjoyed hosting family get togethers, cooking, and taking family trips.
In addition to his father, Mr. Burr was also preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Diggs Burr; mother-in-law, Sarah H. Diggs.
Survivors include his beloved mother, Betty G. Burr; sisters, Kathy (Tom) Sheeler, and Kaye (Rod) Clark; brother, Kurt Burr all of Chesterfield, SC; sisters-in-law, Susan Ratliff of Wadesboro, NC, and Faye Diggs of Cheraw, SC; nephews, Lee (Mandi) Sheeler of Chesterfield, SC, Roddy (Carrie) Clark of Florence, SC, and Kyle (Lindsey) Johnson of Wadesboro, NC; and great nieces, Brantley Sheeler and Ali Kate Sheeler.
