Mrs. Wendy Gaye Wilkerson Sellers, age 48, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. A Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 PM Saturday, August 29, 2020 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Hank Griffin and Dr. Steve West with burial to follow in the Clanton Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sellers was born February 28, 1972 in Florence, SC a daughter of the late James Ronny and Nell Elaine Ratliff Wilkerson. She was a graduate of Cheraw High School and a faithful member of Clanton Plains Baptist Church. Wendy loved to sing and listen to gospel music, especially singing by Dr. Steve West. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding go-carts, 4-wheelers, and driving her first car. Wendy also enjoyed her time as a former candy striper at Chesterfield General Hospital. A young lady with a contagious smile and loving personality, Wendy never met a stranger. She showed and shared the love of God with everyone and would be quick to ask you, “Do you know Jesus?”
In addition to her parents, Wendy was also preceded by her grandparents, Duncan L & Lucille Ratliff, and James Thornel and Leila Oliver Wilkerson; and uncles, Harry Dean Ratliff, Sr., and Jerry Wilkerson.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Sellers of Chesterfield, SC; brother of the heart, C.J. Parker, Jr. of Ruby, SC; “#2 mom” & aunt, Janice Parker of Chesterfield, SC; “#3 mom” & aunt, Iris Deese of Ruby, SC; aunts and uncles, Bill & Vickie Ratliff, and Joyce Mills both of Ruby, SC, Myrtle Ratliff of Cheraw, SC, Debbie Wilkerson of Ruby, SC, Bonnie (Jimmy) McCormick of Lilesville, NC, Cathy (Bucky) Parker, and Deborah Wilkerson Smith both of Cheraw, SC, and Sherry Wilkerson of Chesterfield, SC; numerous cousins including, Randal Gibson of Ruby, SC, Stewart Gibson of Chesterfield, SC, Robin Clark of Rockingham, NC, and Lois Jessie of Ruby, SC; special friends and caregivers, Renea Albright, Jacquelyn White, and Renae Johnson; a host of friends, and her beloved pet, “Gracie.”
