William Ike "Mike" Johnson, Jr.

          Mr. William Ike “Mike” Johnson, Jr., age 76, entered into rest on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Patrick Baptist Church by Pastor Grover Johnson with the eulogy being delivered by Pastor Billy Jack Johnson. The interment will follow in the Patrick Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Sunday prior to the service at the church.

          Mr. Johnson was born October 15, 1946 in Hartsville, SC a son of the late William Ike Johnson, Sr. and Quintella Gainey Johnson. He was a graduate of Hartsville High School, Columbia Commercial College, and received his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Limestone College. He was a tubes and cores sales representative in the textile industry with over 50 years of service. Mike was a member of the SC Army National Guard and attended Patrick Baptist Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan, Ford enthusiast, and a true people person who never met a stranger.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was also preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Rivers Johnson.

          Survivors include his children, Julie Johnson (Bradley) Barefoot, and William “Will” Johnson, III both of Hartsville, SC; sister, Lynn Johnson (Charles) Hall of Hartsville, SC; brother, Nolen Jay (June) Johnson of Hartsville, in addition to numerous cousins, nephews and a niece.

          Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
